Counselor-In-Training Program

Saginaw Day Camp (SDC) offers a Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program for children ages 14 and 15 that emphasizes self-confidence and responsibility.

Counselor-In-Training Program - For 14 and 15 year olds

The director of the CIT program is Tracy Schwartzberg, who not only has a Master's Degree in Education, but a wealth of experience in leadership training. Through the discipline of team building, the CIT program will focus on many life skills such as leadership, organization and problem-solving. Upon completion of the program, teens will be ready and motivated to utilize these skills outside of camp to develop better relationships and succeed in all future endeavors.

Every afternoon, CIT's get to experience what it is like to be a counselor, as they work with, mentor, and develop relationships with the younger campers. Furthermore, many CIT's will have the opportunity to become paid staff members at SDC once they turn 16!

In addition to all the valuable skills they will learn, CIT's will get to experience all of the great activities that Saginaw Day Camp has to offer, including swimming, ATVs, a 60 foot rock climbing wall/zip-line tower, go-karts, and much, much more. A hot lunch is provided daily, and transportation and extended hours are available.

This program will cost $320 per camper per week, with a two week minimum required.
