FAQs
Yes, we are always available by appointment to give you and your family a tour of our facilities.
SDC will be hosting two Open Houses in 2023, one in April and one in June, exact dates will be announced shortly. Both will take place from 10am until 1pm, so come take a tour of our facility, enjoy some games and refreshments, and meet our directors. If these dates or times are not convenient for your family, please call our office to arrange for a tour.
Depending on the ratio of campers for a particular week, there are approximately 8-12 children in a group. The groups are co-ed and divided by grade. We are happy to honor any group requests as long as the children are close in age.
There are separate changing cabins for boys and girls and every camper will have his or her own cubby to store personal items.
SDC is very proud of its many indoor/multi-purpose facilities. In the event of rain, we have pre-set rainy day activities that utilize our extensive indoor and covered areas. We are able to still run many of our daily activities indoors or under cover. We boast facilities that can accommodate activities ranging from gymnastics to laser tag, and archery to rock climbing indoors. We also feature fun activities that we don't do on regular days, such as Karaoke, Dance Parties, Game Shows, and special arts & crafts projects.
We have multiple shaded and air-conditioned buildings to keep campers cool during intense summer heat.
We have a modern, complete air-conditioned Health Center at SDC with a full nursing staff and full-time doctor available. All medications are dispensed by nurses at lunch or when otherwise directed by the prescribing physician.
Once your child is enrolled, you will be provided with the Camper Forms Packet necessary for your child to attend SDC. This packet will also contain a list of what items to send with your children, both daily and weekly.
SDC is an all-inclusive camp; lunch/snack, swim, and athletic instruction are all part of tuition. With regards to tipping, we would never suggest that it is required - although our counselors do appreciate it. Many parents do tip their child’s counselors anywhere from $5-$25 per week that their child is in attendance.
All balances must be paid in full by June 1st, 2023.
Any enrollments after June 1, 2023 must be paid in full before the campers’ first day at camp.
